Augie's Rentals respects the privacy of customers and website visitors.
This Privacy Policy describes how Augie's Rentals collects, uses, protects and discloses personal information in connection with our website, rental bookings and business operations.
Augie's Rentals operates in British Columbia and handles personal information in accordance with applicable privacy legislation, including British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act ("PIPA") where applicable.

• communications with Augie's Rentals;

• other information reasonably necessary to administer a rental or respond to an inquiry.

3. IDENTIFICATION
Augie's Rentals may ask to inspect government-issued identification to verify identity and rental eligibility.
We will limit the information recorded or retained from identification to what is reasonably necessary for the rental, fraud prevention, legal obligations or legitimate business purposes.
We will not retain copies of identification unless reasonably necessary and permitted by applicable law.
4. PAYMENT INFORMATION
Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors such as Stripe and/or through our rental-management provider.
Augie's Rentals generally does not receive or store the customer's complete payment-card number where payment is processed directly by a third-party payment provider.
Payment providers process information according to their own privacy and security practices.
5. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
• process rental reservations;
• verify customer identity;
• communicate about bookings;
• collect payments and security deposits;
• administer pickups and returns;
• manage rental extensions and cancellations;

Augie's Rentals uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the personal information under our control.

To help us stock the equipment people are actually looking for, our website also records anonymous on-site activity on the rentals page: the search terms typed into the rental search tool, how many products matched, and the rental dates selected in the date picker. This information is collected in anonymous form only — it is not linked to any name, account, IP address or other identifying information, and no cookies are used for this purpose. We use it solely to improve our rental selection and website.
Where applicable, information about optional analytics or advertising technologies will be provided through the website's cookie or privacy controls.
13. BOOKING COMMUNICATIONS
Providing an email address or telephone number as part of a booking allows Augie's Rentals to send communications reasonably related to that transaction, such as:
• confirmations;
• pickup instructions;
• return reminders;
• payment information;
• changes to the booking; and
• communications about equipment or the rental.
14. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
Marketing communications are handled separately from communications necessary to administer a rental.
Where required, Augie's Rentals will obtain appropriate consent before sending promotional commercial electronic messages.
Marketing messages will identify the sender and provide an unsubscribe mechanism as required by applicable law.
Customers are not required to agree to promotional emails merely to rent equipment.
