Benchland Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Benchland is a game made by Brett Auger, a sole proprietor in British Columbia, Canada ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you play Benchland on iPad.

The short version

We do not collect any personal information. Benchland has no accounts, no ads, no analytics services and no tracking. The game does not connect to our servers or anyone else's.

What stays on your iPad

  • Your saved games and settings.
  • Play data: a short record of each match (how long it ran, the season and stage reached, resources and army size over time, key moments, and how often your Apple Pencil strokes were understood). It is stored only on your iPad and is never sent automatically. You can view, share or delete it at any time under Menu › Play data.

Sharing play data (only if you choose to)

If you tap Share in Menu › Play data, the game opens the standard iPad share sheet and you decide where the file goes, for example email or AirDrop. If you send it to us, we use it only to improve the game's balance and controls, and we delete it on request.

Apple Intelligence

On iPads that support it, the in-game advisor may use Apple Intelligence to write its lines. This runs entirely on your iPad; nothing is sent to us or to a cloud service. The game works the same with Apple Intelligence turned off.

Purchases

The full-game unlock is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment, and we never see your name, Apple ID or payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to that purchase.

Children

Benchland collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
